I can use FEDERAL EXPRESS, provided that you have a FedEx
account and you supply that number, when you order.
No other express services will be used.
5) DO YOUR BOOMERANGS REALLY RETURN?
YES. This is a skill sport. You must follow the EZ to understand throwing instructions that the makers and I provide. If in doubt about what rang is suitable for your or another person, please phone or e-mail me.
6) YOU SAY THEY WORK, BUT HOW CERTAIN CAN I BE THAT THEY WILL
WORK FOR ME?
In 1975, when I began this mail order business, I tested every
boomerang I sold. If a rang did not perform for me and if the maker couldn’t correct it…..that rang was NEVER offered for sale by The Boomerang Man.From time to time, I will test a shipment.I know the makers and they know me.
7) I’M LEFT HANDED. Do you have left hand boomerangs?
Yes.Nearly all the wood boomerangs are made for Left handers and for Right handers, too.
There are some plastic boomerangs available in LH as well as RH.
8) WHICH IS BETTER WOOD OR PLASTIC?
That’s a good question. It’s really a matter of personal choice.
Most avid throwers have boomerangs in wood, plastic, foam, composite and other materials.
If your throwing conditions are wet, or on bare, hard surfaces, you should start with plastic rangs.
Plastic rangs are usually less expensive than wood rangs. I suggest using plastic rangs, when teaching kids and new throwers, or sharing throwing fun with friends.
9) YEA, WELL IT SNOWS HERE.
By all means, have some plastic rangs. Be very careful throwing a rang in cold or freezing temperatures. Cold,stiff rangs can break. This is true for wood rangs, as well as plastic rangs.
10) I LIKE THROWING AT THE BEACH. WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST?
Salt water and wood rangs are not friends. Go plastic.
Caution: not all plastic rangs will float. Test floating ability before throwing. ABS/P.E.T/Polycarbonate do not float.
11) I THOUGHT WOOD BOOMERANGS USED WATERPROOF GLUE AND THAT THE
MAKERS SEALED THE WOOD WITH SEVERAL LAYERS OF PAINT.
That’s true. The best rangs are made from either Finnish
Aircraft Birch plywood, or Baltic Birch plywood. These woods are made with water resistant glue.
When a rang is thrown and hits the ground or when it’s caught,the wood flexes, creating what woodworkers call “checking”…this allows moisture into the wood. A wet rang does not fly well(it’s too heavy).
If your rang gets wet,lay on a flat surface. Place a weight on top of the rang, let the rang dry slowly. Wood rangs can warp and this affects flight. My throwing instructions explain how to retune a warped boomerang.
Quality rangs are carefully coated with durable paints.
However,if a boomerang is coated with too much paint,it may be too heavy and will not fly well.
12) I’VE BEEN SURFING THE INTERNET AND I SEE MANY RANGS YOU
DON’T STOCK. WHY NOT?
Many of the sites you see are put up by hobby makers who are not really in the boomerang business. They love this sport and this hobby. Selling a few rangs per week is great fun and helps cover the cost of their materials and equipment. Also, selling is an ideal way to cover travel expenses to contests in the USA and worldwide.
Most can’t offer me the discount I need, in order to stock/ sell their booms.
In the USA, many of the makers/sellers you find on the Internet got their first boomerangs from me….THE BOOMERANG MAN. I began business in 1975.
13) DON’T YOU SELL SOME HOBBY MAKER’S BOOMERANGS?
Yes, I have a few special makers who do not care to deal with the public or who do not want to turn their hobby into a “ gotta fill those orders” business. When I fill your order, you’ll receive information sheets on rangs not on the site or not in my standard catalog.
14) DO YOU TAKE TRADE-INS OR BUY USED BOOMERANGS?
Nope! Join The <USBA.ORG> and get connected with collectors.
Many older rangs are highly collectable. There are boom groups on the Internet.
One of my very first customers holds boomerang auctions on the Internet. Ask me for his URL.
15) DO YOU HAVE A STORE WHERE I CAN SEE YOUR RANGS?

17) DO YOU MAKE BOOMERANGS?
No. I am a marketer of boomerangs. I leave the making to craftspeople.

No. But I do rep. several USA makers.
19) ARE BOOMERANGS EASY TO BREAK?
Not the ones I sell.
Most rangs break because the thrower does not follow instructions, or throws in areas that are too small, or throws when the winds are too strong. Or…attempts throwing around a tree, pole or other distant object.
20) OK. WHAT ARE SOME OF THINGS PEOPLE DO, THAT BREAK RANGS?
a)Throwing sidearm.
b)Holding the rang backwards(that is, the wrong side is facing the thrower).
c) Trying to throw around an object such as a tree, a pole, a soccer goal.
d) Crashing the rang onto a street or other hard surface.
e) Using too much force, when sandwich catching, snapping a good rang in half.
f) Stepping on the rang or falling on the rang in an attempt to catch it.
h) Lending their rang to someone who does not understand
boomerangs and who does not appreciate how special each rang truly is.
21) HOW DO I CARRY AND STORE MY BOOMERANGS?
I suggest a hard case such as an old suitcase(if you have a lot of rangs). Have a carry case that you can close, when you are away from your “kit”.
Wood rangs can warp, if displayed in a dry,heated home. Keep your rangs in the same climate that you throw in.
22) I WANT TO BUY SPECIAL RANGS FOR LONG DISTANCE, OR JUGGLING OR DOUBLING. I DON’T SEE ANY LISTED IN YOUR CATALOG.
The typical boomerang travels out 30 to 35 yards. More advanced rangs exceed 40 to 45 yards. I have several that can exceed 70 yards but…
Long distance rangs are dangerous in the hands of unskilled throwers. LD rangs are small, thin, nearly invisible, once they leave the thrower’s hand.
They return at very high speeds and are Extremely Dangerous to
catch and are a danger to onlookers.
The current World Record is 238 meters out and 238 meters back to the thrower. Most of us do not have that much room to safely use 90+ meter rangs.

Doubling/juggling rangs: find a person using them. Ask him.
Attend a contest. Some speciality makers will have their rangs for sale.They will usually show you how to use the rangs.

The rangs that I sell can be purchased by either ordering those already on the site, or by sending an order and placing the dollar value of your order in the PAYPAL SLOT.
There is a PAYPAL PAYMENT area on the front page of my website, It’s on the right side. Look for the PAYPAL secure seal.
Look for the “easy pay here” payment slot. Place the total cost of your order in that slot. Press the button.
You do not have to have a PAYPAL account. PP will accept your credit card or you can have PP draft your checking account.
I accept Personal checks drawn on a USA Bank; Money Orders and similar . I can not accept checks or money orders drawn on NON-USA Banks.
